Four years ago me and the hubby had no plans for Christmas, so decided to take ourselves away. Edinburgh was our chosen city, and we spent a fantastic 4 days soaking up the Scottish Christmas spirit.
It was during those few days that we asked ourselves the question: "If you could live anywhere, where would it be?", and we wondered why we had not stopped to ask the question before.
Scotland obviously was our unanimous choice.
This question was quickly followed by "Well why don't we?", and suddenly a plan started to form. A few years later and a combination of a good pipe-dream and the right circumstances made it happen.
So, I am now here. Living in a 200+ year old cottage, in a small village within easy reach of Edinburgh. Me, hubby, and 2 cats, and a lifetime stretched in front of us.
Will it live up to expectations? I'll wait and see.
